Required Supplies

  • Ice Pack
  • Brown Paper Bag
  • Iron

The Logic Verdict

Heat transfer. You need to melt the wax and absorb it into something else.

The Fix

  1. Freeze (Optional): If it’s a big blob, put an ice pack on it for 10 mins, then shatter the brittle wax with a spoon and vacuum up the chunks.
  2. The Iron Trick: Place a brown paper bag or a clean white cloth over the remaining wax.
  3. Iron: Run a warm iron (no steam) over the paper/cloth. The wax will melt and stick to the paper.
  4. Repeat: Move to a clean spot on the paper and repeat until no more wax pulls up.
