The Logic Verdict
My Take: The video author notes: “How to remove rust from porcelain tiles using acidic toilet bowl cleaner. DO NOT use this for marble, travertine, or any other tile that can be damaged by acid.” In my experience, you should start by following the visual inspection steps shown in the video.
The Fix
- Lemon & Salt: Sprinkle salt on the stain, then squeeze lemon juice over it. Let it sit for 1 hour. Scrub.
- Pumice Stone (Porcelain Only): For a porcelain sink or toilet, wet a pumice stone and gently scrub. Do NOT use on fiberglass or acrylic (it will scratch).
- Commercial Remover: “Iron Out” or “CLR” works best for heavy stains.
